After keeping this (sort of) in the wraps for the past few months, really happy and excited to announce my upcoming bento book coming your way this month.
Titled ‘Kawaii Bento‘, by Little Miss Bento, Shirley Wong, this bento book will be available in Singapore at major bookstores including Kinokuniya from 24 November 2014 onwards.
The bento book will also sold online at various stores including Kinokuniya Webstore Singapore, Bento&co (both physical store in Kyoto and online), Amazon, Book Depository.com, Penguin Books AU online .
I will be posting some sample pages soon!
In ‘Kawaii Bento’ book, it will introduce some 30 bento recipe, side items and most importantly the basic techniques needed for making cute bento – often referred to as kyaraben or decoben or charaben.
This include the how-to of shaping riceballs, coloring riceballs, cutting seaweed and other ingredients, making egg sheets, using oblate sheets and coloring eggs.
It will be a very handy guide for all bento lovers and people who want to start making bento.
Official launch of this book will be on 6 December 2014, 4pm at Kinokuniya Orchard outlet located at Takashimaya shopping mall.
