Quite a bit going on in my kitchen these days but I haven’t quite had the time to update my blog posts. Â
Anyway, I am so happy I found out how to shop on Rakuten both the Global and Japanese sites as they have many available bento and home cooking stuff that is either more expensive to get elsewhere or is not available for shipping to Singapore. Â I will post review and links to the different Rakuten stores soon.Â
One of the store I shopped at on the Rakuten global site is UltraMix.  Prices were very reasonable and so much cute stuff for bentos and confectionery/baking use.  Delivery and service was superb and reliable, I ordered my goods on Sunday and, confirmed my order with them on Tuesday and received the package on Saturday!
Among the many stuff I got from them was this sushi deco mold, as you can see, you can add rice and press them into pretty cake-like slices. Â So cute o(^ ^)o
But I didnt like my sushi creation, the ‘topping’ for the cake is too dark in colour right? Will have to do this again. :P
Sushi Deco & Kinako Cookies ããã±ã¼ããã³ã¨é»ãªç²ã®ã¯ããã¼
Also baked up some kinako cookies. Â Was quite difficult to find kinako recipes ( at least in English) so I simple invented it myself. LOL. didnt quite work cause they were rather hard (but crunchy yeay) the next day, prob needs to refine this before sharing the recipe. :P

The cookies and the sushi cake look great!
I really want to buy from Rakuten but I’m so scared the shipping will be really expensive :(

It is actually okay for me because their things are actually cheaper than most online bento stores, so even with the shipping, I saved. Plus they sell things that I otherwise cannot get unless I am in Japan. Just try? At most at the checkout part you can always cancel and not proceed with the purchase. The shipping cause is reflected.
