ã»Rilakkuma and Kiioitori Character Obento ã»Food Art Drawing ã» |
I bought this special food art drawing tool from Rakuten recently that enables you to make drawings on this edible sheets that can then be placed on cheese, rice, cakes, chocolates etc.
I first found out about it after seeing several kyarabens (character bentos) creations using this and finally managed to find it online. So finally had the chance to use it. Â Was a little apprehensive but surprising it is very easy, kind of like doing arts and craft.Â
Apologies, some of you who might not like the use of food coloring, but this definitely needed some of that.Â
So for this character obento, I painted Rilakkuma and Kiioitori characters and also added some hearts.

So beautiful! How interesting, must buy n try next time. Does the kit comes with the pen to draw? Or it’s just the edible sheets?

Hello dear, thanks so much. Its really fun, I think very ‘in’ with some Japanese bento makers to use this. The drawings they create is super detailed.
The kit essentially comes in 50 sheets (so thats quite a lot), a transparent base to place the sheet on. What is missing is brushes. And I would think the coloring they provide probably not sufficient for all 50 sheets, but then again, you only need very little each time. :D

It looks totally amazing! It’s hard to believe that it’s edible! You’ve great skills. This tool’s in one set with the sheets or you bought them separately?
The second box seems delicious – a lot of colorful ingredients! ^^ I love your imagination.
