Potato Hello Kitty Bento and Sanrio Puroland

Potato Hello Kitty Bento
I realised I have not shared about my visit to Sanrio Puroland so decided to do a post on this.

Along with the theme, I created Hello Kitty character from potato for my character bento today.  I have seen many Japanese bento bloggers using the mashed potato sculpting in their character bentos, but this is the first attempt for me :)

The contents are: onigiri rice balls, mushroom with sesame sauce, steamed broccoli, edamame beans, strawberries, and stewed pork (not in picture).

*Point – The cute ribbon pick you see is actually a bento pick. This ribbon and hello kitty set is one that I used so often, since I love the colors and also hello kitty. Plus it is also very convenient, I didnt have to make a mini ribbon for the kitty creation.

You can get them online at CasaBento
(check out their website at http://casabento.com/shop/en/)  or click on the image below to access the product pages.

Below are the photos during my visit to Sanrio Puroland, Tokyo! Just about 40mins train ride from Shinjuku, you will arrive at Keio Tama Centre, town of Hello Kitty!
Entrance of Sanrio Puroland
Fairytale-like interior
I call this the ‘shrine’. its essentially a collective display of all Sanrio characters I think
Map board at Keio Tama Centre station, this is indeed a hello kitty town
Finally got to eat this kitty steamed bun from K-mart located near the entrance of Puroland
Taking photos with the kawaii mascot, Cinnamoroll and Mocha!
Watching the performances, they are in Japanese though
This was my favorite, the super cute food sold at the cafeteria. The  bento meals come in actual bento boxes you can keep after finishing your meal.
Chocolate pudding dessert, oh yes, you get to keep the cup too!
This is what I had! super cute lunch! Even the sausage in the bento had kitty prints
Surely a bento shopping visit at Puroland that houses the biggest collection of all Sanrio products
More bento related things!
