Bento&co is celebrating their 5th anniversary, wow! They had offered a really great 20% discount off all their products. Did you get any bento goodies? :)

Since I am contributing and writing for their blog, I decided to make a happy birthday bento for Bento&co! Hope you like this cheerful bento!

I made a little boy celebrating in front of a birthday cake marked ‘5’!

The side dishes were sauteed vegetables with mushrooms, pan grilled soy pork, blanched broccolin, edamame beans and some lettuce. I also added two ribbon pasta – aren’t they pretty?

The ingredients for the characters were:
- Boy (rice, teriyaki sauce to color the rice, seaweed for features, egg sheet for hair, ham for hands)
- Party Hat (rice wrapped in red layer of imitation crabstick, I added the white small circles from the white layer of imitation crabstick to complete the party hat)
- Cake (rice, tomato slices in the centre which got hidden ><, ham with ‘5’ cut out on the top, then decorated with 2 bento picks)
