Christmas Bento for AsiaX Magazine　クリスマスのキャラベン・アジアエックスの表紙の人

I was thrilled and honoured to be approached by AsiaX magazine for a feature story on its cover news on my bento creations.
 
AsiaX is a free Japanese business paper distributed here in Singapore via hard copies and also on the internet. The magazine covers current news, business and travel information, latest restaurants openings etc. 
 
Thank you AsiaX magazine, Katagi san (editor) and everyone at AsiaX!  
 
The issue is now out at various distribution points, including Mediya-supermarket. Since this was for the 16 December issue, we discussed and decided that a festive bento would be timely. 
 
So, I made this Santa Claus and Reindeer pair double tier bento creation.

Ingredients for Santa Claus character:

  • rice
  • teriyaki sauce
  • seaweed
  • crabstick
サンタクロースの部分：
飯
照り焼きのソース
のり
かに蒲鉾

 

Ingredients for reindeer character:
  • sushi rice
  • aburaage (fried tofu skin)
  • carrot
  • crabstick
  • seaweed
トナカイのキャラクターの部分：
酢飯
油揚げ
ニンジン
かに蒲鉾
のり
