This is too kawaii!!!! I am so happy to share that Cornell Singapore has just given me this Hello Kitty Pop Up Toaster to help them create 2 special recipes.

These 2 toast recipes has been given thumbs up by my hubby too! I fed him kitty toasts! :D

I hope you will enjoy the recipes. They are not difficult to make. One is sweet and one is savoury, so take your pick!

Since I have had firsthand experience in using the Hello Kitty Pop Up Toaster, here is my review of the product.

これはかわいすぎです!!Cornellにキティちゃんのトースターを貰いました。とても嬉しかったんです。

Cornellにキティちゃんのサンドのレシピを頼まれました。

これらは二つレツピです。よろしくお願いします。

キティちゃんのトースターはかわいいし、使うのが簡単です。良かったです。レビューしました。皆様、読んでみてください。

Ease of usage 4/5
It is really fail proof, the only thing that needs effort is to buy the bread and also set right toasting temperature so that you can the kitty mark as you desire.

I would not recommend thick toast slices. This toaster is more suited for regular bread slices. You can probably use the usual bread loaves from supermarkets. I bought my bread from a local Japanese bakery, where one loaf was divided into 8 slices.

Toasting wise, just insert, turn on and wait for the pop!

For me, I toasted the bread at toaster’s heat settings of approx 3 to 3.5. I find that 3.5 gives me the best and more defined kitty imprint without charring the bread.

Ease of cleaning 5/5
As I own pop up toaster myself, I am very pleased that this toaster comes with a cover lid. This keeps out dust when the toaster is not in used.

There is also a removable tray at the bottom that allows you to easily get rid of bread crumbs.

Kawaii-ness index 4.5/5
This is Hello Kitty! Can’t beat this in terms of cuteness.

The color of the toaster was also a lovely red and white.
Grilled Pineapple and Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich
Perfect for a meal or picnics

Ingredients
2 bread slices
1 chicken fillet
1~1.5 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 canned pineapple ring
Lettuce
Cucumber slices
Mayonnaise (optional)

Method
1.Set your pineapple ring on a grill pan for 1-2 mins, turning once.
2.Marinade your chicken fillet with the teriyaki sauce for at least 1 hour
Point: You could also prepare ahead of time and leave it overnight in the chiller.
3.Heat up your non-stick pan and cook the chicken fillet using medium low heat until thoroughly cooked and nicely brown on both sides.
Point: The chicken might char easily due to the sugar content in the teriyaki sauce, hence lower heat is recommended.
Point: The chicken is cooked through when fork tender and juices run clear
Point: You can also use a grill pan to cook the chicken.
4.Set your bread slices in the Hello Kitty Pop Up Toaster at 3 ~ 3.5 heat level.
5.Place the greens on the bottom halve of the toast, followed by teriyaki chicken fillet and top it with the grilled pineapple ring. Add some mayonnaise and cover with top halve of the toast.
Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich
A nice warm snack or breakfast

Ingredients
2 bread slices
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 large ripe banana
Honey

Method
1.Peel the banana and cut them into about 1.5 cm thick slices.
Point: If you prefer a creamier texture of the banana, you could set them in the microwave for 30seconds. But if you are not eating the sandwich immediately, uncooked bananas would be recommended to avoid sogginess.
2.Set your bread slices in the Hello Kitty Pop Up Toaster at 3 ~ 3.5 heat level.
3.Spread some peanut butter on the bottom halve of the toast. Pile on the banana slices and drizzle some honey. Cover with top halve of the toast.
