I am so excited to share with you today’s creation!!
Because in today’s Rilakkuma Bento, I packed the Rilakkuma deco tang yuan dessert that I made last night!
Thanks to Junko-san’s book, I was first introduced some time back to this super kawaii trick of making your glutinious rice dumplings in a Japanese kawaii style!
Over time, I also learnt through my own experiences in creating original designs like the Rilakkuma characters here.
I will be posting the recipe for both the Rilakkuma tang yuan as well as the matcha (green tea) pudding tomorrow! :)
In today’s Rilakkuma bento, I made soba inari! Inside of rice, I stuffed the fried tofu pockets with sakura soba noodles instead. Of the four soba inari, I made two of them as Rilakkuma characters. Features were made from mashed potato, seaweed and thin egg sheet.
The sides dishes were grilled salmon, blanched romanian broccoli and french beans, lettuce, japanese mikan (mandarin oranges).
I actually made 4 designs of the pudding, was really in a dilemma which to pack into my bento!
A preview of the four designs of my Rilakkuma deco tang yuan with matcha pudding.
Recipe coming tomorrow!! :)
