Oishii Japan - The largest dedicated Japanese F&B showcase in ASEAN is back! With 266 exhibitors from 32 Japanese prefectures, this year’s event held at Suntec Singapore will spread over 6,000 square metres, up by almost 50% as compared to the 4,000 square metres space last year.
Get ready for an amazing Japanese experience with the extensive range of classic Japanese ingredients, seasonal produce, unique prefecture specialities as well as innovative Japanese technology and machinery for F&B.
Held from 16 to 18 October 2014, this event is open for trade visitors and members of public (18 October only).
What’s new this year?
J-Sweets Collection, featuring Japanese confectionery and desserts from 40 exhibitors. With a sweet tooth, I am looking forward to check out this out!
Another new co-locating theme showcase at Hall 404 is the J-Food Street where visitors can purchase a variety of Japanese food delights. Some of the participating brands include Nana Green Tea, Sushi Buritto, Samurice and Annabelle Patisserie. Awesome!!
There also opportunities to participate in educational workshops, live demonstrations by industry experts, and tea/sake tasting bars.

All activities will take place at MAFF booth L01 unless otherwise stated. Programme is subject to change, please check show website/facebook for latest updates.
- A cooking demonstration by Chef Akihiro Maetomo from Chikuyotei, InterContinentalSingapore. He will demonstrate using ingredients such as beef from Iwate and ricefrom Tochigi to make seasoned rice, onigiri and also chazuke. Chazuke is a simpleand light Japanese rice dish made by pouring green tea, dashi, or hot water over cooked rice.
- ‘Creative Dessert with Japanese Ingredients’ workshop by Singapore chef Janice Wong from 2am:dessertbar, on making desserts using peach liquor from Fukushimaand konyaku from Gunma.
- Ayuchi Momose, a certified ‘Sake Samurai’ recognised by Japan Sake BrewersAssociation Junior Council, will participate in Oishii Japan this year to share tips onappreciating sakes from different prefectures and how to pair food with the sakes for maximum enjoyment.
- Chef Tadao Fujisaki from Tokyo Sushi Academy will conduct a seminar on “SimplySushi – A Beginner’s Guide to Rolled Sushi” using rice from Chiba and other sushiingredients from Kanagawa.
- Hiroshi Nishikawa from World Green Tea Association will share the benefits of greentea and ways to enjoy the drink.

Trade: Complimentary admission to trade visitors who register online at www.oishii-world.com by 10 October 2014. On-site registration is at $20 per person.
Public: 18 October 2014, 11.00am to 5.00pm
Public: $4 per person. Admission is free for children 12 years and below. Tickets can be purchased at Peatix.
