Doraemon Bento for breakfast!
I believe this is my first Doraemon Bento I have made! Haha, can’t believe that in my almost 4th year of making bento I have not made Doraemon.
On the plane ride on JAL airlines to Japan, I watched the latest 2014 Doraemon movie – ‘Stand By Me Doraemon‘. A 3D computer animated film based on the Doraemon manga which was released in August 2014.
The movie was touching and I was cried especially towards the ending of the film.
Doraemon is the main character of the manga series. A robot cat, he was sent back in time to aid Nobita. Known to possess a cool pocket from which he could pull out all sorts of high tech and futuristic tools and gadgets. A friendly and kind personality, Doraemon loves to eat dorayaki.
I wanted to make a Doraemon Bento when I got back. Since I have a lunch appointment today, I decided to pack a breakfast bento instead.
Using round bread buns and cheese, I created both Doraemon and Dorami-chan . The smaller details and the features were made from egg sheet, red egg sheet and seaweed.
Dorami-chan is the younger sister of Doraemon. Yellow in color, she has red ears that looks a little like a red bow on her head and she loves eating melon-pan.
