A Sausage Bear Bento that I whipped up at the rented apartment while I was in Tokyo last week.
A simple kyaraben as I had very very limited tools to work with, but I hope you like this bento.
I love using these cute mini round sausages from Japan in my bento. I also had to cut all the tiny seaweed parts by hand as I did not have my mini seaweed punch.
My husband teased me when I texted him my bento, he said ‘Why don’t you go out to eat?’ I told him I missed making bento, yes, even while I was on vacation!
The side dishes were yummy, I had ebi fry, hamburger patty, vegetables, soft boiled egg and some hash-browns! I also used a new aluminium bento box hat I bought from Kappabashi kitchen street in Asakusa, Tokyo.
Recently I have started to take a liking towards these aluminium bento boxes, they are light, easy to wash and has a certain vintage feel. But I still definitely love my magewappa bent wood boxes too!
