Bear Sandwiches for breakfast!! Nom~Nom~

Needed something quick but equally cute for breakfast today. So I used my sandwich cutters and made these bear sandwiches.

[updated - cos of so many queries] The sandwich cutter I used is Arnest’s Pan Pop-Up bread cutter that I got quite some time back. ‘Pan’ in Japanese means bread, and in this case, this super convenient cutter cutes the sandwich into the shapes, with little imprint marks for the characters and with a little easy maneuvering, the sandwich charcter will ‘pop-up’!

This time round, instead of pop-ups, I used the cutters to make halved bread slices with the bear designs.

The kit comes with two parts, the brown cutter is for the shape cut out on the slice bread. It also comes with some convenient cutters of a bow-tie, heart and crown.

The white pieces are the different inprints for the characters which you just have to press on the slice bread after cutting.

I was also really happy with the fluffy egg that I prepared for the sandwiches. So yummy!! Cooked to perfectly, still so fluffy and soft~

In Japan, even the egg sandwiches sold at combini (convenient stores) are super delicious. I have always want to replicate that at home.

It is really easy, just need a good non stick pan, lots of butter and eggs!

The bear sandwiches can also be packed into bento boxes! Really cute and fun to eat for breakfast or even for picnics.

For a different texture, I also added Japanese cucumber and lettuce in the sandwiches.

Recently I also discovered something really great for bento and recipes – the Sun Moon Fruit Cups! Packed in apple fruit juices, these fruit cups are healthy and are nicely portioned in pre-packed cups.

Personally I really dislike opening an entire can of fruits when I only need a few slices.

Plus canned fruits are usually way too sweet with the sugar syrup used. But the Sun Moon Fruit Cups are great since apple juice is used as the base. I would always drink the juice after eating the fruits. yummy!

Need your children to eat fruits, or would like to pack fruits in your bento? Sun Moon’s fruit cups will come in handy.

Plus they now come in cute packaging featuring DC comics characters, including superman and wonder woman.

In today bear sandwich breakfast, I added the peach fruits from Sun Moon fruit cups into my yogurt and also my mini salad that was packed into the bento.
