To get ready for Valentines and Lunar New Year, I went for facial experience at GO60 spa boutique about 1 week back.

Don’t I look much fresher? Loving the baby skin feeling~~

Truth is, I have not been taking care of my skin after my wedding days :P

I am really just the cleanser and that’s it type of girl – I know, I really ought to be taking better of my skin and work harder at my skincare routine.

The one thing that I enjoyed in the past was facials, and I do believe that it is sometimes good to leave it to the professionals.

When Mary Chia invited me to try out their lifestyle space concept boutique, GO60, I was so happy!!

Why the name GO60? It is actually Singapore’s only fixed-price spa boutique – yes everything goes at $60!

All their treatment sessiosn are priced at $60 nett (GST is absorbed by the store)!

This is perfect for people (like me) who dislike places that are pushy when it comes to selling their prepaid packages or hidden top-ups for treatments.

Conveniently located at Esplanade Link, it was easy for me to get there via Circle Line or North-East Line train lines, or even buses that drop off at Suntec Convention Centre.

Since it has been a while I took good care of my skin, so I decided to try out GO60’s signature treatment – GO Strip Peel with Mandelic Acid.

This treatment promises to repair and rejuvenate the skin for a healthier and smoother complexion. They recommend this for treatment of rosacea, post-acne scarring, derma blemishes and hyper-pigmentation.

Aside from rejuvenating matured skin and reduces wrinkles by boosting collagen production, the treatment is also able to soften blackheads and oil-clogs for easy extraction. Love fair skin? It also inhibits melanin production which causes pigmentation, and of course the peel is effective for the exfoliation of dead skin cells and surface debris.

Upon reaching the spa, I was ushered into a clean modern treatment room and changed into the robe provided.

Frankly I was a little worried that the peel will leave me with red angry skin, but they assured me that all will be okay and there will be no pain during the treatment.

They were right. :)

First, my face was cleansed and the Mandelic acid was applied. There was some tingling sensation, but no pain.

I was also grateful for the gentle hands of the therapist and she took special care not to affect my eyelash extensions while cleansing and applying the treatment products.

A neutraliser is then applied after the Mandelic Acid treatment. And a gel mask is applied.

Oh I love the the cooling sensation of the mask, soothes the skin.

The mask is washed off and a moisturer is applied. Voila~ and its done!At first the moisturer felt a tad sticky, but after the walk back to the train station , my skin!! felt like baby skin~~~~~

Super super happy~~ had to resist not to keep touching my face. haha.

Can’t wait to try out the other treatments at GO60.

Oh yes, I also noticed a lovely light pink flush in my cheeks for the past one week. No pain but am actually loving that natural blush~ :D
