Check out this super cute Molang Bunny official site (Korean).
I have wanted to make a Molang Bento for some time. And I have always been a fan of bunnies and rabbits.
Since Easter is coming around the corner in a week’s time, I decided it will be a good time to make Molang Bento.
I had some leftover rice, so I heated them up and wrapped some salmon flakes for the rice balls. Molang’s ears and limbs were also made from rice.
To complete the character, I added the details of Molang Bunny using seaweed and picnic ham.
Since this is supposed to be Easter theme, definitely not to forget Easter eggs! Mini Easter eggs made from quail eggs which I coloured by soaking in some food colouring. This is as per what I shared in my Kawaii Bento cookbook on colouring eggs.
The side dishes included minced meat patties, Japanese mini cucumber thinly sliced, purple sweet potato, lettuce and a small strawberry.
Molang loves strawberries, so I decided had to put one strawberry in the bento. haha
Its finally Friday!
Next week will be pretty crazy for me as I will be shooting my next cookbook.. so I might not have time to make more Easter bento (sorry!)
But I should have some time to share other awesome food and backlogged stuff with you.
