Recently I made the decision to do some minor cosmetic enhancements, including botox for between brows, crow lines as well as fillers for my nose and under eye areas.
I am never been against cosmetic enhancements albeit this being my first experience. Hey, if it makes makes one feel more confident and good about themselves, I don’t see why not (or what is the big deal).
This is also the reason why I am openly sharing my personal experience of doing botox and fillers.
In fact I have been so pleased and encouraged with the results that I wished I did this earlier, and am considering something more permanent for my nose :D
But first, let me share what happened for my Botox experience.
There were two things that mattered most to me, one was the credibility of the doctor and the other was the affordability.
After some research, I found Dr Benjamin Yim from Dr Benjamin Yim Clinic Aesthetics & Laser Centre. With some 15 years of experience under his belt, I felt confident I will be in good hands – and I was.
With this clinic located conveniently at Forum, I visited for a first round of examination and consultation with Dr Ben first.
I felt comfortable throughout the process as Dr Ben was very clear and honest in explaining to me the procedures, details, risks and safety etc and was super gentle in administering the procedures both for Botox and Fillers.
The one thing that struck me the most, was how Dr Ben never tried to get me to do more procedures (unlike some doctors I have heard) or attempted to make me feel ugly or horrible.
He was always encouraging subtle enhancements that would worked for me and and to carry out the cosmetic improvements one step at a time.
With Dr Ben’s advice, I decided on having Botox for between brows (I always frown!! my bad habit) and crow lines of the eyes.
For the next appointment, it was time to do the Botox procedure.
First I had my photo taken, and was ushered into the treatment room to get ready.
Dr Ben came around to check on me and we went through again on the areas to be worked on.
He also marked the areas with a light chalk pencil and showed it to me for a visual idea.
My face was throughly cleansed and a numbing cream was applied to the between brow and crow line areas.
After which the Botox was applied via injections. Don’t worry, I am very afraid of pain too but it was all good and not painful.
And there was literally no downtime at all. You can just do this during lunchtime and head back to work – no problem at all.

Super smooth between brows and no crow lines :) sans make up or filter!
How much? Botox treatment ranges from $500 and above as it depends on the area(s) that you plan to work on.
The best part has yet to come, read part 2 of the fillers for my nose and under eyes. And the final ‘after’ look!
I am super happy, kept telling my husband that too~~ haha.
