My first Star Wars Bento!
Since May the fourth is coming – known as Official Star Wars Day where you will hear that pun that Star Wars fans worldwide say out loud ‘May the Fourth (force) be with you!”. There is even an official hastag #StarWarsDay. haha. Read more on Star Wars official website page on why May the4th is called Star Wars Day here.
I am quite happy with the way the bento turned out and the depiction of Obi-Wan Kenobi in my bento.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the key characters in Star Wars is a legendary Jedi Master and also the mentor of both Anakin and Luke Skywalker.
His signature look was his beard and brown coat that he dons, and of course his lightsaber. Lightsaber is a laser sword, fictional weapon featured in Star Wars.
Obi-Wan Kenobi ingredients:
- Head/arms/neck – rice with some teriyaki sauce
- Clothes – rice
- Hair/Beard – rice with finely ground black sesame
- Facial features – seaweed
- Jacket – rice wrap with aburaage tofu pocket
The side dishes include meat balls, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and sauteed snow peas with baby corn and carrots.
Packed this in my Noda Horo enamelware bento box which is now available at Tokyu Hands Singapore for around $20.
The set of Star Wars toppers and picks is from Bento USA.
The UFO and spaceship bento picks is from Bento&co.
