Totoro Bread Foodart for Breakfast.
This is what happens when one has to cook both breakfast and lunch in the same morning :P haha.
A simple foodart but still cute to start the day.
I was up late editing and proof reading my cookbook, and did not have time to plan or sketch. So when Totoro came to mind, it seems like a good easy character to make for today’s foodart breakfast.
The base of Totoro, Chibi-Totoro and the soot spirits were bread. The big Totoro was had a layer of matcha jam spread and details added on using more bread and some chocolate fudge.
The matcha jam is from e-grocer Zairyo that retails imported Japanese products and produce.
The Chibi-Totoro was even simpler, just bread and chocolate fudge.
Soot Spirits in the Totoro animation movie are so cute right? Over here I used some sesame spread on the bread and added the eyes that were made from bread and details piped on with chocolate fudge.
Enjoying my Totoro Bread Foodart with some matcha latte and fresh Japanese strawberries.
Did you notice the cute wooden bread shape plate too? I got them from Rakuten Japan. I ended ordering extra as I did not know they came in a set of 2, so I have two extra ones to let go.
If you are keen to get them from me, I am selling the brand new extra set away at a discount price of $25.
The original price is yen 2470, which is about SGD $28 not inclusive of shipping cost. Self collection at my place (outram park area). Email me if you are keen :) littlemissbento@gmail.com
