Bonbonribbon Bento & Newly opened Emporium Shokuhin

Do you know Bonbonribbon? I believe this is only my second Bonbonribbon bento that I have made.

Bonbonribbon is one of Sanrio’s more recent characters. It first appearance was in 2012. This pink bunny’s signature look are the Ribbon bows on her. I forgot to add the small ribbons on her… Ooopss. haha.

But I did make her polka dot big ribbon on her head.

Why did I decide to make Bonbonribbon? Actually it was a result of an exciting date session with my hubby to the newly opened Emporium Shokuhin at Marina Square’s new wing.

Emporium Shokuhin is Singapore’s first integrated Japanese emporium featuring a live seafood market, a beef dry-aging facility, a Japanese gourmet grocer and a total of 8 dining concepts; all under one roof.

I was so excited and my hubby volunteered to  drive me to Marina Square so that I could shop at the newest Japaness supermarket and grocer.

And of course I was on the lookout for what special or cute ingredients I could find!

Was pleasantly surprised to find these shaved kamaboko and the ribbon pasta exclusively sold at Emporium Shokuhin. Of course I had to grab them.

So I was thinking to myself, what can I make with the ribbon pasta and the shaved pink kamaboko pieces?

Bonbonribbon came to my mind. I love how the shaved pink kamaboko created that fluffy look for the bunny. Its so cute right?

The other details for Bonbonriboon include pink kamaboko (for the ribbon and cheeks) and seaweed (eyes, nose, mouth).

For this Bonbonribbon bento, the side dishes included sauteed salmon fillet seasoned with Yuzu miso, also bought from Emporium Shokuhin; as well as vegetables and mushroom.

I also added some ribbon bento picks to decorate this Sanrio lunchbox.

Anyway, here are more pictures from the aisles of Emporium Shokukin. Excited to see premium seafood which otherwise is impossible to get here in Singapore including King Alaskan Crabs, Snow Crabs, Flatfishes, Kinki and other Japanese seafood.

It was really exciting to see all these fresh seafood.

I cannot wait to head back again soon to buy their seafood.

I bought mostly the dry goods and snacks yesterday. Hahah here was my loot~~~ Some of these interesting items include Bourbon biscuits in salt lemon flavour, mini Oreo in banana flavour, Uni (sea urchin) potato chips, cute biscults, orange juice from Ehime prefecture, as well as the products that I mentioned earlier including the ribbon pasta, yuzu miso and shaved pink kamaboko.
