With the upcoming Peanuts movie, the popularity for this Snoopy and its gang will likely see a revival in following and interest.
Peanuts is a Sunday Americn comic strip illustrated by Charles M. Schulz that ran in the papers or some 50 years! Amazing. It is regarded as one of the most influential comic strips.
The cast of characters in Peanuts evolved and grew larger over the years but of course notable characters included Snoopy and his chirpy bird friend, Woodstock.
For today’s bento I made both Snoopy and Woodstock. Hence, Snoopy Woodstock Bento :)
Snoopy was made out of Japanese rice plus seaweed outlines and details that are cut freehand. While Woodstock was made of Japanese rice mixed with some mashed pumpkin and again, seaweed outlines and details cut freehand.
To complete the Snoopy theme, I made little paw prints.
Super easy, just using a paw punch and circle cutter, I added the seaweed pieces to cheddar cheese slices.
Side dishes for this Snoopy Woodstock Bento included teriyaki chicken, mizuna vegetables with cherry tomatoes.
I also made a Snoopy deco latte hot chocolate drink using a deco latte sheet (cheat) on some homemade soy hot chocolate drink.
