Rey Jedi Bento

Rey Jedi Bento (2)Rey Jedi Bento!

While the movie is still fresh in my mind, I must make another new Star Wars Bento this year.

Enjoyed the movie very much, even though I don’t exactly classify myself as a geek or otaku. haha. Nevertheless, movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, X Men, Lord of the Rings etc are very much my sort of thing.

(warning, some spoilers ahead)

If you have watched the Movie, you would know that in the latest installment, we now have a new young female Jedi by the name of Rey.

One of the main characters in the movie, the protagonist waits for her family in Jakku, becoming a scavenger in the process (and a pretty good one) and later on helping the Driod BB-8 in getting information to the Resistance  – and becoming the target of the First Order.

So this time, I knew I had to make this Rey Jedi Bento, alongside with the cute BB-8 driod.

Quite pleased with the end result of this bento, hubby gave the nod too. :)

Rey Jedi – Japanese rice + ketchup (head/arms), Japanese rice + tororo seaweed (body/clothes), sushi seaweed (eyes, mouth, belt), Japanese rice wrapped with sushi seaweed (hair)

BB-8 droid – Hard boiled egg and hard boil quail egg. The details were made from sushi seaweed and slice cheddar cheese.

Side dishes for this Jedi Bento included yuzu salmon fillet, oyster mushrooms, lettuce and sauteed french beans.

Packed this Jedi Bento in my Noda Horo enamelware bento box.
