My Melody and Friends Seaweed Cutting Bento today! With a subtle Easter Day bento theme, you might notice that My Melody is actually carrying a basket of Easter Eggs. 

I packed today’s bento in my Black + Blum sandwich box from Bento&co. 

The Sanrio characters are (from left), Flat the Mouse, My Melody and Lisu the squirrel.

今日はマイメロディのキャラベンですよ。キャラクターはマイメロディちゃん、フラットくん、リスくんです。フラットくん、リスくんはマイメロディの仲良く友達です。メロディちゃんはイースターエッグを持っています、見えますか？Ｂｌａｃｋ＋Ｂｌｕｍ　のサンドイッチ箱を使いました。
My Melody’s birthday is on 18 Jan and she is from Maryland forest. Her favourite food is almond pound cake. Flat the Mouse is My Melody’s very good friend. And Lisu the squirrel is good friend of Flat the Mouse. Both Flat and Lisu have quite shy personalities. Read this on Sanrio’s special microsite for My Melody (here).  
 
Decided to sleep in a little more today. The good thing with seaweed cutting bento is that I usually make/cut the seaweed cutting the night before, and in the following morning I just need to prepare the side dishes and assemble the bento. Today, I could even close my eyes for a while to rest after making my bento and getting changed, before I left the house for work. :P
 
The side dishes for today’s bento were grilled unagi, cucumber with sesame and peanut dressing, apple, lettuce and steamed pumpkin.

 そして、今日マイメロディのキャラベンを作りました。Amazonで買ったの写し絵シートセットをするのが楽しかった。オブラートのシートは食べられますよ。オブラートのシートを使って、マイメロディちゃん、フラットくん、リスくんのキャラクターを作りました。

おかずは：うなぎの蒲焼、ゴマソースのきゅうり、レタス、りんご、かぼちゃ。

    So gorgeous! Cheers on getting to rest! I too got a little more rest after breakfast. More than I really should have. But I guess I needed it. Luckily hubby was home to help with the kids while I caught up on some much needed sleep.
