Looney Tunes Bento! Yesterday was Disney theme bento, and today is Looney Tunes bento. The characters are Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, the baby version! heheh
This is a seaweed cutting Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck bento. It has been a while since I made seaweed cutting bento. Like before, I always find it very theraputic to be cutting the seaweed design.
For those who are new to my blog, my seaweed cutting is made using my ACTO knife. You can buy such precise cutting knives from stationary/art stores. They usually come with a pack of blades which you can replace when the they wear out or become rusty.
In order to add the colors, I adhere the seaweed cutting onto edible sheet – oblate. Oblate is a transparent, tasteless, very thin edible sheet. By doing so, I can then add some edible colors, akin to painting. After it is dried out, I will then place it on rice. You can also place it on cheese.
Do you also want to make a seaweed bento? Then you must check out my earlier tutorial based on my Totoro seaweed cutting bento.
The side dishes included steamed sweet white corn, sauteed broccoli with tofu, sauteed thin pork slices, pumpkin and sweet potato salad and edamame beans.
I think today’s Looney Tunes bento brought back certain nostagic feelings. Looney Tunes by Warner Bros was a popular cartoon short series during my childhood days. I remembered watching the series on television enjoying the cartoon very much.
