Avengers Bento!! Featuring the Hulk and Thor!!
It has been a while since I last made seaweed cutting art.
This time its for this Avengers Bento.
Iess than a week, Avengers II movie will be opening in cinemas. I am sort of a fan girl when it comes to hero and sci-fi type of shows; I am so looking forward to watching Avengers II!
In actual fact, I had sketched out all four main characters from Avengers – Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor. I took reference from some fan art online for the drawings.
But my bento will have to be super huge to fit all four of them. So I decided to make just the Hulk and Thor.
I loved the chemistry and comic factor between the two of them in the Avengers movie! Don’t you? I still remember the part where the Hulk punched Thor :P
As I am not feeling too good and am still on meds for my cold, I figured that seaweed bento would be perfect as I can cut the seaweed the night before.
This morning, all I needed to do was to prepare the side dishes and pack my Avengers Bento. So I managed to get more zzz
Seaweed cutting method has been shared on several occassions on my blog, please look at an earlier tutorial here.
To add the colours, I used food coloring and lightly painted on the oblate sheet.
Yes, all is edible! :)
The side dishes included sauteed prawns with french beans and mushrooms, sweet peas and tamagoyaki. The star print is made using my branding iron which I bought in Japan.
Today’s Avengers Bento was packed in my Noda Horo white rectangular bento box that I got in Japan. I love the enamelware make and size, perfect for lunchbox. This box is now available at Tokyu Hands for around $20.
Have a good Tuesday!
